Does American Nintendo Wii games work on a Korean console?

I bought a Wii console in Korea and would like to know if i can play a game from America on it. I am about to move back to the States soon so I would like to know ASAP!!! If it doesn’t work,.. i need to return the Wii quickly!! Thanks!!
Nope I’m afraid not the wii like most consoles is region locked.
The wii is region locked, but you can use the freeloader if you bought the console about two months back. A firmware update disabled the freeloaders, so you might be out of options.
