My mom and Dad recently bought a Nintendo Wii and my sisters, father and I have been playing with it non-stop ever since. The only problem is that you can’t save your Nintendo progress without a memory card. And you can’t make a ‘mii’ character without it! (Included Avatar activity) So if anybody knows that average price for a Wii Memory card, I would appreciate your answer so that I know just how much I need to save up. Thanks!

You don’t need an SD Card to save a Mii. The Wii has built in Memory but If you want to play a GameCube game you will need a Memory Card for the GameCube and you will also need a GameCube Controller.

You don’t need to get a Wii memory card to save your stuff. The Wii does have internal memory that you can use to save your games. I saved Zelda on the Wii, and I had to transfer it over to my SD card.
Anyway, you don’t need to get an official Wii memory card. You can use any SD card made by any company. They’ll all work on the Wii. If you have an SD card for a digital camera, PC, or whatever, you can use that on Wii, but backup whatever is on the card before you use it on the Wii. If you don’t have an SD card, then you can find some really cheap ones. Just look in the Sunday ads for sales on SD cards.
Sandisk makes Wii memory cards or you can just use any SD card if you want. The Sandisk Wii ones are in 512 MB($20), 1 GB($30), and 2GB($40).
You can find the price of this and the nintendo wii at wiipeddler.com, they have the wii in stock, and they offer free shipping/no tax. Little bit more than retail, but well worth it
