www.turboviews.com Turbo Views IMPORT #1 video review of “Ninja Gaiden” for the PC-Engine (the TurboGrafx / Duo in Japan) video-game system. Rating: 4 out of 5 Released in 1992. **Original NINTENDO VERSION available on Wii Virtual Console. The PC-Engine version is not yet available**

It’s pretty much the NES version. No extras, really.
Definitely like the NES sounds and music better. No question!
That game does look awesome. I might have to check out the Ninja Gaiden series one of these days. Hell, if I can beat the Megaman games (5000 swears, anti-semitic, and Jesus F*cks later) I suppose I can beat a Ninja Gaiden game.
That it is still, nec just didn’t understand the market in the u.s sadly enough.Kind of like how soa treated the sega saturn pretty much the same thing.
Man Ninja Gaiden beat my brains in when I was younger! LOL
Ninja Gaiden is mint. I got the second one on 360 and got this one on my Turbo Grafx 16
Ninja Gaiden didn’t make it over here because Nintendo had a horrible agreement that they forced everyone into. Basically it went like this, “you can’t release any games for any other systems”.
When that was changed, sometime in 1992 or 93, it was something like “if you release a game, you can’t release the same game on another system”. Which could explain why some Genesis games like Deadly Moves were named Power Moves on the SNES, or Mortal Kombat had the subtitle “Tournament Edition” on SNES.
Yup, exactly. It’s a damn shame, too. You know? It was one of the main reasons (absence of third-party support in America) that the “nail-was-in-the-coffin” from almost the beginning with the poor TurboGrafx.
I love Ninja Gaiden 1, and made a review of it awhile back. But this port looks really great, I’m going to try to some of these import games sometime! Great video Chris!!!
Have you ever considered voice acting? You’ve got a great sounding voice.
Ha! Now that I would “love” to do. Someone discover me!!!!
Woo, thanks Adam!
Man this Ninja gaiden has got to hit the vc along with the master system version.
Ninja Gaiden for Xbox was my favorite, the NES version is good too.
gonna pick this up for my PC-E
did the pc-engine outsell the mega drive in Japan?
I apologize to ask a stupid question on your excellent video but I have to ask, if you were to choose between Megaman 2 and Ninja Gaiden, which one would be the better game in your opinion?
Oh my…..that’s a tough one!!!
I love them both. I’ll pass this one. Hee hee!!
Then can you answer this one? Does the rest of the Ninja Gaiden games(the 2D ones not 3D) live up to the first one? Or are they bad?
I beat all three of the NES Ninja Gaiden games. And, truthfully, I liked them all. I can’t remember if I liked 2 or 3 better….but they all lived up to my expectations at the time. Just a great all around series.
Have you ever played the SEGA Master System version of Ninja Gaiden? If not then I encourage you to look into it. It’s actually pretty different and really aweome.
Hi there. No I haven’t….but I will definitely have to check it out!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
I wonder what that secret English code is..
On the title screen hold down buttons I and II then press select. The jap txt in the title screen will change to Ninja Ryukenden and the story txt will be now be in english
