How effective is the wii fit for weight loss?

I’m 15 around 120 lbs, 5′2. I got a wii fit and last night i went on for 1hr 36mins. My body felt tighter this morning and my muscles hurt more now, i usually just do running for exercise. Will it help alot?
ps im doing aerobics/strenght training mostly.
On Wii Fit how do you record exercise minutes?

I received the Wii fit for Christmas and having been using it since. At one point it comes up with little tips about the Wii fit and how you can use it , and one tip says you can record exercise minutes done outside of the Wii.
I work out on a daily basis and would like to record these minutes but can’t figure out where you go to do this.
