I really want this game, but it seems I would come out cheaper buying the gamecube game to play with the Wii console than actually buying the Wii Mario Kart game.

How do i unlock cups in mario kart wii?
i know u have to beat the other cups but is it 50cc or 100cc or 150cc?
does it matter?
