What controller is easier to play Mario Kart Wii with?

For those who have played Mario Kart for the Wii, is it hard to steer with the wii wheel? Is it really sensitive? Is it easier to play with the wheel or harder? I want to buy the game because I love all the other mario Kart games but am nervous about using the wheel and that it might screw up my game play. Let me know your opinions. Thanks!
I also heard that if you use the classic controller, you can’t do some maneuvers and tricks. Is that true?
Think it depends on what you’re used to and what your gaming experience is.
If you’re a novice gamer, Wii Wheel all the way. I find the wheel easiest, by far.
If you’ve grown up playing a lot of video games, or if you played a lot of Mario Kart on other consoles – I’ll say the nunchuk or classic.
I play a lot, had a friend over who had played Mario Kart before, but not on the Wii, and grew up playing a lot of video games. He used the wheel for the first hour or so, I kicked his butt…..he found it touchy, switched to the nunchuk – and it was my turn to get kicked around.
Like most things, it all depends on you, your experiences, and what’s comfortable.

I am unsure if you can use the classic controller or not. I have the wheel that came with the game. My kids use it mostly. I like just holding the remote sideways and doing it like that. It is a little sensitive, as in dont turn it 90 degress to turn, but after a few races, you get the hang of it. Definately the best Mario Kart of any system!!

no it is not hard with the wheel at all,but as sensitivity goes,it depends on what your wii remote sensor’s strength is. and i have never heard of the classic controller doing that? but im not sure.go ahead and try an exhibition on both wheel and without so it wont count in your career
for the first 2 hours it is hard with the wheel but you get use to it
The wheel makes it alot easier but you do have to get use to it. If you buy the game you can choose manual instead of automatic and you can do tricks with your cart/bike.

I have the game. It is way easier to use the steering wheel. I tried it both ways. You have more control with the steering wheel.
I prefer the wii controller alone. No… the wii wheel is probably solid o.o I like playing both. Do Buy it

The Wii Wheel is great, you can’t say its not for beginners. Its suitable for everyone. If you have played Mario Kart before, you would probably find it easier to use the Nunchuk and Wii Remote combination or the Classic Controller. However, using the Wii Wheel itself to many people has a more realistic feeling. Also, I have experienced when using the Wii Wheel that drifting is a little off..Sometimes when you need to drift to the left, it’ll drift you to the right. That can, at times, be frustrating, but as you get used to it, it’ll be fine. You’ll also notice when using the Wii Wheel, doing tricks might set you off to instability. Due to the fact that you are shaking your Wii Wheel, it might cause you to lose your track.
As for your other question… You should of course get Mario Kart Wii! It’s an amazing game, especially if you have Wi-Fi. You won’t see it at first, but once you play with it, it can be fairly addicting. You really should considering giving this game a try. Its an awesome game.
With the Classic Controller, yes you won’t be able to pull off certain tricks and maneuvers.
